Hope's Park & Playground

Welcome to Hope's Park and Playground, a cherished community space in Faulkton, South Dakota, dedicated to providing joy and relaxation for visitors of all ages.

Location

Hope's Park and Playground is situated just south of the Faulkton Area Medical Center on 14th Avenue South.

History and Vision

The inception of Hope's Park began in 2017 when Faulkton resident Beth Deiter sought to commemorate her 25th anniversary of being cancer-free by giving back to the community. With an initial donation of $25,000 from Deiter and land generously provided by the Faulkton Area Medical Center, the project commenced. After two years of dedicated fundraising and volunteer efforts from both children and adults, the park became a reality.

Deiter envisioned a sanctuary where individuals could find respite while visiting or staying with loved ones at the hospital—a place accommodating to all family members, young and old, featuring benches, shelters, and engaging playground equipment.
